It is my wonderful privilege to welcome you to the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church Family. We are excited that you are here.

Everyone that has accepted Christ as his or her personal savior has been charged by our Lord to be a part of a local body where he or she can encourage others according to Hebrews 10:24-25. In addition, each person is to grow in God’s Word according to II Peter 3:18 & II Timothy 2:15.

The purpose of this orientation is to acquaint every member of our church with the mission & mandate; traditions & customs; policies & procedures, ministries & opportunities, chain of command & structure and overall family togetherness of our local assembly. Psalm 133:1 states, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” This orientation is not meant to be exhaustive but rather to give a synopsis of the aforementioned topics and others not named. Together we stand but divided we fall.

I count it all joy to serve as the pastor of the greatest church in the land – Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Bessemer, AL, Inc. I am humbled to be YOUR pastor and look forward to a long relationship of love laughter and fellowship. My door is always open and I am just a phone call away.
